WHO ARE PRONG & PREEN?
The question has been asked before, although never by anyone in a position to receive a satisfactory answer.
Prong and Preen appear to be two inhabitants of the same world. Whether they are neighbors, enemies, accomplices, or merely recurring inconveniences in one another’s lives remains a matter of interpretation - and, occasionally, property damage.
They have been observed moving through a sequence of illustrated incidents involving unauthorized machinery, territorial disputes, contaminated domestic rituals and objects of uncertain purpose.
Their activities are presented in the form of picture narratives, a method of communication in which nothing is said and very little is clarified. This eliminates dialogue, exposition, testimony, and several otherwise useful avenues of appeal.
The pictures are therefore presented as evidence, although evidence of what has not been determined. The prudent reader will refrain from assigning them a meaning.
