Here’s another comic that once appeared on the webcomic site, but was “lost” for a while. Now it’s been restored and is back for all to see.

I drew this comic over 25 years ago - long before “mashups” of Jack Kirby’s work became a thing in popular culture (or at least before I was aware of them). The idea came from a dream I had about reading a strange comic, and I decided to bring it into the real world. I copied some of my favorite Jack Kirby images from my own collection, and my good friend Ria - a talented writer with a great ear for dialogue - provided the words.

Here's the first appearance of JEFFREY, published in CHROME FETUS COMIX over twenty years ago. The comic was also reprinted in Danny Hellman's TYPHON in 2008 and eventually FOLLY in 2012.

(I'm pretty sure I posted it online before, but after shuffling websites so many times, it needed to be reposted again.)

The comic was drawn as a political satire, and, unfortunately, is even more accurate today than when I first drew it two decades ago. Reader beware: As with all things that have an overt political theme, the contents of this comic may be offensive and upsetting to sensitive readers.

Learning to ink with brush and India ink. One of my next comic projects will be using lots of black and shadows, so I figured a bottle of ink is cheaper than buying a lot of markers and shit. Tried it out on these potential character designs for the next comic project. Whaddya think???

This concludes the comic. I started this particular storyline in September 2014. At the time, I genuinely thought it would take me about eleven months to complete this story, not eleven years.

Admittedly, I tend to start lots of side-projects which vie for my attention. I juggle all these various comics projects and work on them in a rotating schedule at an irregular pace. Eventually, one of them manages to come to a (hopefully) satisfying conclusion.

I do have many future projects planned for this site. I thank you all for your time and attention!
